Product Details:

Elkamet PA6 filament is a heat stabilized Polyamide 6 for FDM printing. The filament features high temperature resistance, strength and durability, oil and fuel resistance and an outstanding resistance to wear. It is weldable and paintable.
These properties make elkamet PA6 filament the preferred material for printing technical parts, prototypes and tools.
Printing parameters (depending on FDM-Printer used / parameters given are based on Ultimaker 3):

  • Nozzle temperature: 260-285°C
  • Bed temperature: 100-110°C
  • Bed adhesion: glass with a coating of fixative e.g. DimafixTM spray
  • Fan setting: off
  • Subsurface: A roughened hard paper board, thickness 1 mm. The hard paper plate can simply be placed on the glass plate and fixed with clips on the sides. The hard paper plate can be used for several prints and can be roughened again using sandpaper at any time. You can use a fixing coating as an alternative to the hard paper board. For example: An adhesive spray (Dimafix (TM) spray) or a glue stick (Deli Glue Stick) Masking tape is not suitable as an adhesive substrate for the Elkamet PA6 filament.

 
Store the filament spool in a dry container. Polyamide 6 filament must be kept dry, as moisture causes bubbles and insufficient adhesion in processing. Elkamet PA6 filament is delivered ready to use, dry and sealed. Once exposed to moisture, we recommend the filament to be dried at 80°C for at least 6h in an oven, ideally with a vacuum drying system.
